I am now editing and perfecting my nonfiction autobiography, “Supreme Love: A Battered Woman’s True Story”. A friend, editor and composer, Gary Widland, who lives in the south of France, is editing it. I was glad when suddenly I re-found his email address.
I found Mia Shawver, a young, excited and gifted writer whom I had worked with. When I asked her if she would like to help me write the screenplay, it suddenly became a possibility.
Time was the next question. Besides working two part-time jobs – at “Michaels” and “Ross Dress for Less” – I was running my own small business. Before Easter, I fell on my knee and hurt it so badly that I could no longer walk, so was forced to retire, which I did.
My knee did recover and I am back to work at Michael's.
Since then, it has all been SERENDIPITY – “God’s Will”. I met a talented young man who will be on board while he attends college studying filmmaking, directing and cameras. As we follow God's Direction, we will let you know when this book will be published. We thank you for your patience.
This is a BIG, BIG and intense book. We’re halfway through it now, and already have 700 pages. Readers who love to be totally immersed in character, story and plot, along with being carried away with the epic settings – of which there are three: Montana, the Caribbean, and the Blackfeet Reservation – will find themselves moved by the passion of
my feelings, thoughts and actions. What is amazing is that it is all absolutely true. Though I suffered immensely, the ending – surprising and emotionally satisfying – is redeeming.
Come back and see us here often to find exciting updates. I first wrote and published it in 2007 after being traumatized by the most horrible marital experience and divorce possible, by a man who only wanted to hurt me and seek revenge.
God saw better, though. It’s been thirty years since I self-published the first time, thirty years since the OJ Simpson murders of Nicole Brown Simpson, his wife, and Ron Goldman. Though I gave away hundreds of my book to others to help them, I really couldn’t and didn’t market it. I was still too hurt, and still deeply ashamed of my life and what had happened to me.
God told me that I would have an amazing life. I no longer feel any shame, and He’s right. I have had an amazing, loving and blessed life. I am now on that righteous path for battered women and abused children, and I invite you to join me. To God be the Glory. Amen.
